Rules:
Each competitor drinks six coupettes (12,5cl) of Champagne (a total of one bottle) and run 4 legs of approximately 1000m. A total of 4000m.
The competitor must enter the call room/start area 30 minutes before the race starts. Each competitor have to drink two coupettes in the 30 minute window, one every 15 minuttes on the run leaders signal. As the race starts each competitor must drink one more coupette before starting the run, then run one leg, drink coupette, run leg, drink coupette, run leg, drink coupette, run leg, finish.
Competitors can walk/move (no sitting) in the call room/start area while drinking, but the coupette must be consumed before starting to run the first leg.
Women also drink six coupettes and run 4 legs.
Competitors must drink Champagne only. Other sparkling wines are not allowed. This year's sponsor and dedicated producer of fine bubbles is Pol Roger.
Each coupette must be drunk standing. Sitting down is not permitted under any circumstances.
Competitors must run with the coupette in their right hand. If the coupette is broken, the competitor is disqualified. If the coupette is held in the left hand, a one-minute penalty is given, and the competitor has to drink an extra coupette before continuing.
Competitors who vomit before they finish the race must complete a designated penalty leg at the end of the race before crossing the finishing line. Vomiting more than once during the race still only requires one penalty leg at the end.
The top three runners who don’t throw up or break the coupette will automatically become members of Oslo Coupette Club. The OCC can initiate membership by invitation. The OCC can change the rules for the OCR at any time.
The winner must hold a speech to the fellow competitors before the post-run banquet can commence.
Dress code: safe running shoes, club or team outfit. If no conection to any club, classic running attire: singlet or t-shirt and shorts. No fast glasses.
The OCR is potentially dangerous. You are participating at your own risk.

By registering for and participating in Oslo Coupette Run any date I confirm the following:
This is an informal and social club event organized by Sankt Hanshaugen Løpeklubb, Dangerous Club, and Oslo Coupette Club. The run is not open to the general public, but only to members of the club and their personally invited friends and acquaintances.
I participate voluntarily and entirely at my own risk. I understand that the event involves physical activity combined with the consumption of alcohol (champagne served in coupes) along the course, and I confirm that I am physically and medically fit to participate under such conditions.
I am aware of and accept that the combination of physical exertion and alcohol consumption may increase the risk of accidents, injury, illness, and other health-related complications.
I participate with full knowledge that I will consume alcohol during the event. I confirm that I am personally responsible for knowing my own limits and health conditions, and that I freely choose to combine running and alcohol consumption.
I hereby release the organisers Sankthanshaugen Løpeklubb, Dangerous Club and Oslo Coupette Club, together with their volunteers and partners, from any and all liability for injury, illness, loss, or other incidents arising from my participation, except in cases where such incidents result from the organisers’ gross negligence.
I am aware that the organisers do not provide personal accident or injury insurance for participants, and that I am personally responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage.
I undertake to follow the organisers’ instructions and the rules of the event, to show consideration for fellow participants and members of the public, and to conduct myself responsibly throughout the event.
I consent to the organisers using photographs, video footage, and results from the event for marketing and documentation purposes related to Oslo Coupette Run.
SAFTY PLAN
The course includes four stops with a total of six coupes of champagne (one bottle per participant distributed along the route).
A designated person will be present throughout the event with a first-aid kit. This person will not participate in the run.
A minimum of two persons will be positioned at stops to monitor participants’ condition.
No alcohol brought by participants is permitted. Alcohol is served only at designated serving points along the course.
All participants will receive safety information in writing prior to the event and verbally at the start. Participants deemed unfit to continue will be asked to withdraw.
Emergency numbers 113 (ambulance) and 112 (police) are known to all marshals. The nearest hospital is Oslo University Hospital, Ulevål. A mobile phone will be available at every stop.
The course has been mapped and communicated to all participants and marshals in advance.
